Laser marking system
XENO 3 / XENO 3+
to mark metal and plastic plates permanently
XENO 3 provides an integrated laser system to mark metal and plastic plates permanently. Fiber laser beam source, control unit and operation room are incorporated in a joint laser safety housing according to protection class 1. Due to its compact design and small footprint, XENO 3 fits with desktop operations.
Galvanometer scanner from SCANLAB "Made in Germany". The XENO 3+ variant has a laser beam source from IPG "Made in Germany" and an extended warranty of 2 + 2 years.
Markings applied by a XENO 3 remain clearly legible even in the long term in rough surroundings.
Hydraulic cylinders, engines, pumps, gears, vehicle chassis oder system components are typical items to be marked with a XENO 3.
Replace magazines enable to process different plate sizes. Plates to be processed are 40 x 20 to 120 x 100 mm in size, resp. 0.5 to 1 mm in thickness. Plate stacking is possible to heights of 50 mm.
The marking can be observed through the protection window and with the help of the lit interior. Fold-out carry handles simplify the installation of the system.
With the comprehensive cabLase marking software layouts are graphically designed, markings controlled and processes monitored.
The system might be remote controlled or monitored in networks in which machines interact with other machines or human beings.
XENO 3 is particularly suitable of metal engravings and ablation of top layer.

Product & Basics
What is the XENO 3+ and what is it used for?
The XENO 3+ is an integrated laser marking system by cab, specifically designed for the permanent marking of metal and plastic plates (type plates). It features an IPG laser source “Made in Germany”, a SCANLAB galvanometer scanner, and an extended warranty of 2+2 years (up to 4 years total). The laser source, control unit, and workspace are housed in a combined laser safety enclosure (protection class 1).
What laser power levels are available?
The XENO 3+ is available with 20 or 30 watts of laser power. The choice depends on the material and the desired marking speed.
What plate sizes can be processed?
The XENO 3+ processes plates in sizes from 40 × 20 mm to 120 × 100 mm with a material thickness of 0.5 to 1 mm. Plates can be stacked up to a height of 50 mm.
How does the automatic plate feeding work?
The plates are stacked in a loading magazine. The topmost plate is marked and then automatically ejected into the output magazine. Interchangeable magazines allow the processing of different plate sizes.
What are typical applications for the XENO 3+?
Typical applications include type plates for hydraulic cylinders, motors, pumps, gearboxes, chassis, and system components – wherever markings need to remain clearly legible after years of exposure to harsh conditions.
Marking field & Optics
What is the marking field size?
The marking field is 112 × 112 mm. The manual height adjustment of the scan head enables precise focusing.
Can the marking process be observed?
Yes. The marking can be observed through the viewing window and the integrated LED interior lighting while the enclosure is closed. The integrated pilot laser allows a preview of the marking.
Software & Interfaces
What software is used?
All XENO systems work exclusively with CabLase Editor 5. CabLase Editor 5 offers graphical layout design, marking control, process monitoring, and variable data processing. For customer-specific data integrations, cab automation is available.
What interfaces does the XENO 3+ have?
The XENO 3+ offers: 2 × Ethernet 10/100 Mbit/s, digital I/O interface with freely programmable inputs and outputs, remote interface, interlock/emergency stop, connection for an external extraction and filtration system, and external 24 V supply for additional operations.
Can I mark variable data?
Yes. CabLase Editor 5 supports counters, date/time variables, logos, and codes.
Is ERP/MES integration possible?
Yes. Through our cab automation, we are able to deliver a customer-specific integration for virtually any requirement.
Safety & Laser classification
What laser class is the XENO 3+?
The XENO 3+ is classified as laser class 1 as a fully enclosed system. No special safety measures are required during normal operation.
Is an extraction system required?
Yes. The XENO 3+ features an integrated extraction system.
Service & Warranty
What is the warranty period for the XENO 3+?
The XENO 3+ comes with an extended warranty of 2+2 years (up to 4 years total).
What maintenance is required?
cab fibre lasers are low-maintenance. The F-Theta lens should be regularly inspected for contamination or damage, and the extraction filters should be replaced periodically.
Who do I contact for technical questions?
