VPSX® bi-directional PJL and personal assured delivery support
cab and LRS unveil breakthrough label printing integration

cab and LRS have announced a major advancement in industrial label printing. As of the latest firmware 5.47.5 release, cab printers now fully support VPSX® bi-directional PJL delivery – unlocking a new era of precision, reliability, and flexibility for high-volume labeling environments.
This integration empowers organizations to streamline operations with intelligent label recovery and reprint capabilities. Whether due to a power outage or operator error, large batches of labels can now resume automatically from the exact point of interruption. Operators and support teams can also reprint specific labels on demand, eliminating the risk of missing or duplicate labels that can disrupt logistics or clinical workflows.
Update 02.02.2026:
In a further leap forward, cab engineers have developed a plug-and-play solution that connects directly to the VPSX® Pull Print API. With no external hardware required, warehouse workers can simply plug a HID-mode barcode scanner into any cab printer, scan their SAP user ID, and instantly retrieve their personal label jobs. This “Personal Assured Delivery” model ensures that critical labels are picked up by the correct individual – reducing errors, improving accountability, and eliminating dependence on specific printer queues.
“Our customers in logistics and healthcare rely on flawless label delivery,” says Ralf Föhner, cab Technical Support. “This innovation ensures that every label reaches the right person, at the right time, with zero compromise” says Alan Nichols, LRS Solution Architect. Results are faster workflows, a smart and resilient labeling infrastructure and fewer support calls – all powered by cab’s precision hardware and LRS’s enterprise-grade output management.
