cab Training Schedule
Following inhouse trainings we offer at our headquarters in Karlsruhe. Additionally you can attend online trainings at cabTV or watch the replays. More training themes are in preparation. Your proposals are welcome.
The workshop SQUIX, MACH4S and EOS can be considered as basic training on which further parts are built. The basic training is a prerequisite for participation in the workshops HERMES Q, PX Q as well as JScript programming.
The trainings start at 9:00 am.

Online workshop wrap-around applicator WICON

Details
For the commissioning of the WICON it is necessary to instruct the operators precisely in order to avoid operating errors. For the execution the following prerequisites are necessary:
- A SQUIX MP with WICON, suitable cab labels (min. 20 pieces) and material (cable) to be labeled. The labels may already be inserted.
- Knowledge of the manual
- At least 2 PCs on customer side - one shows the participants, the second PC makes the close-up of the WICON
- Please start up WICON only during the training.
Procedure:
- Short introduction and theoretical basics
- Questions about the operating instructions
- Explanation of available labels (size, title block, lamination)
- View commissioning video with short interruptions for questions
- Device is connected and adjusted by the operator according to instructions
- Explanation of some behaviors of the printer and their effects, indication of possible sources of errors and their elimination.

Details
- XD Q - designed for double sided printing shows a few special characteristics which are different from "normal" label printers.
- In this workshop we offer information about the basic concept, the mechanical construction, features and important advices for the usage of this machine.
- Also some specialities should be known when the XC Q printer is used for doublesided printing.
- Basic knowledge about color separation and the label structure will be teached.
- We will show you how to run the printer, using cablabel, windows driver and JScript.
- Experience with the SQUIX or MACH 4S are recommended.

- This workshop first shows an overview of the HERMES Q systems and the available applicators and explains the operation, commissioning and configuration, as well as the change and adjustment of individual assemblies.
- In addition, the mechanical settings and the respective possibilities are explained in the setup of the devices.
- Information regarding the respective interfaces and information on the setting and commissioning of a connected applicator.
- Mechanical innovations at HERMES Q are shown in comparison to the previous model
- Knowledge about the devices of the SQUIX series or MACH4S are prerequisites here, since it covers both the menu settings as well as the topic of programming etc., which is covered at the SQUIX workshop would be almost identical to the HERMES Q.
- The second part then deals with the connection and the settings of the applicators, whereby the most used applicators 4014 and 4114 are treated more precisely.

- This workshop is mainly focused on the hardware of the PX-module, whereby the settings and the replacement of the mechanical components will be the main theme.
- Furthermore the Setup of the PX module will be explained and we have a closer look to the interfaces.
- Knowledge of the devices of the SQUIX or MACH 4S series are a prerequisite here, as it covers both the menu settings as well as the programming area, etc., which are almost identical in the PX Q module.

- This training part is a new addition to the cab trainings and includes the pure programming of cab label printing systems.
- Various methods of data transmissions will be discussed and you will learn more about the structure of this printer language.
- By means of examples and tasks you will get to know many details of JScript.
- After completing the training you will be able to program labels manually with any type of character sets or graphics. You learn how to realize stand alone solutions with a keyboard or a scanner and learn how to control external devices such as cutters or present sensors.
- A selection of the various special functions will be described in detail which enables the user to create input masks for keyboard queries or to align objects within labels.
- The user will explore Dbase data on the basis of examples.
- We give you the tools you need to easily program labels and analyse customer data.
- To round off the training we will pass on tips and hints for troubleshooting and data analysis.

This workshop is dedicated to all those people who are looking for laser marking the first time. Using the compact desktop system XENO, you will step into the world of industrial laser marking. Covering all the basic knowledge on fiber lasers, we will get in touch with all five laser marking variants: engraving, annealing, ablating, coloring and foaming. Build up your skills on many example markings, create jobs and optimize both, speed and quality. Become an expert for texts, 2D codes and Logos on different surfaces. If you like, you can bring your own material to perform some tests at the second day of this workshop.
