The Hermes+ is the result of more than 30 years of product development and technical know-how. The system is especially designed for fully-automated print and apply processes in production lines. Precise label positioning and a robust design make the Hermes+ the choice for 24/7 industrial labeling applications.

No matter how you turn it: Apply bottom to top, top to bottom or from either side: The Hermes+ prints and applies in any installation position and can therefore be integrated in all kinds of production lines.

Host connection or stand-alone operation: For both, host connection or stand-alone operation software tools are available. Direct programming is possible by using the cab printer language J-Script. Label layout, graphics and special fonts can be downloaded to the CompactFlash Memory Card.

Various applicators are available for the precise applying in real time of very small to medium sized labels.

Integrate cab printers into SAP R/3

Controlling cab label printers quickly and easily from SAP R/3 using SAPScript.

We show you the benefits

1. Large graphic display

White backlight guarantees clarity of display. Depending on the fitting position the display can be turned in steps of 90°.

2. Navigator pad

Simple, interactive menue control. Applicable functions are illuminated. Menue handling is easy to comprehend.

3. Ribbon retainer

The threepart tightening axles allow a fast and easy ribbon exchange.

4. Solid, buckling resistant metal chassis

It is made of dye-cast aluminium. All devices are assembled to it.

5. Assembly applicator

The applicator is assembled on hinges and can be exchanged easily.

6. Printing offset

After exchanging the label roll the printing position is set up automatically after a few printed labels. The label position is stored, even if the machine is turned off.

7. Printhead

The printhead can be exchanged easily. Adjustments and setups are not necessary.

8. Ribbon saver

It is used for labels which are only partially printed. The printhead is lifted off in the plain area and the ribbon is stopped during label feed.

9. Transport system

The ball bearing transport rollers ensure a highly accurate printing and the precise feeding of labels.

10. Label unwinder

The swing lever and the integrated brake make sure that the labels are unwound with constant tension.

11. Rewinder

The liner of a label roll is rewound after the labels have been peeled off. The clamping shafts enable an easy exchange of the roll.
 

12. Printing direction

All Hermes+ devices with applicators are available in left or right print direction.

Stand-alone operation

The layout of the labels is created either with the label software or directly on the PC. Label formats, fonts and graphic data, serial data and data base contents are saved on the CF memory card or on the internal IFFS printer memory. Only the variable data is sent to the printer via keyboard or host computer before being printed out.

1. Cover

CoverProtection against dirt and accidental contact. If the immersion depth of the applicator >25 mm the cover of the Hermes+ has to be adjusted.

 

 

 

 

2. External operation panel

External operation panelIf the operation panel is not accessible after installation of the printer into a production plant it is possible to attach an external operation panel. The panel is equipped with a slot for a CF-memory card Type I and an USB-interface for the installation of a keyboard, a scanner or a service key.

 

3. Compact keyboard

4. Memory card

Air-pressure regulation unitIn case of integration of the print & apply system into a production line the air-pressure can be turned on or off externally. Pre-adjustment to 4,5 bar. Essential in combination with E-Stop switch.

cab License Agreement 3-D models

cab Produkttechnik GmbH & Co KG (hereafter "cab") or its affiliated companies hereby grants you a non-exclusive, nontransferable license at no charge to use these 3-D models and the corresponding documentation according to the following terms:

LICENSE GRANT - You may
  1. install the 3-D models on your personal computers;
  2. use and transmit the 3-D models on a network within a site;
  3. make copies of the 3-D models in machine readable form for backup purposes;
  4. modify the 3-D models in connection with your projects
  5. pass on the models to third parties in connection with your projects
LICENSE RESTRICTIONS - You may not:
  1. rent, sell, transfer or grant any rights in the 3-D models or corresponding documentation without the prior, explicit written consent of cab;
  2. remove any proprietary notices, labels, or marks on the 3-D models and corresponding documentation;
  3. make accessible to the public
  4. market the 3-D models as part of a product or service

NATURE OF THIS AGREEMENT - This license is not a sale. Provided that you pay license fees they are in consideration of the licenses granted under this Agreement. Title and copyrights to the 3-D models, corresponding documentation, and any copy made by you, remain the property of cab or its suppliers. Failure to comply with the above restrictions shall automatically terminate this license without further notice and terminate your rights to use the 3-D models and cab shall, in addition to its other legal remedies, be entitled to its reasonable attorney fees.

LIMITED WARRANTY - The 3-D models were compiled with great care and checked for accuracy. However cab can not guarantee that all data is up to date, correct and complete. Short-term technical changes are possible at any time. CAD software should only be used by trained staff. It is not a substitute for specialized testing and assessment. cab is not responsible for results on basis of these 3-D models. cab's entire liability and your exclusive remedy under this warranty will be, at the option of cab, to attempt to correct or help you around errors, to replace the 3-D models with functionally equivalent 3-D models, or to terminate this Agreement.

EXCEPT FOR THE ABOVE EXPRESS LIMITED WARRANTY, CAB MAKES AND YOU RECEIVE NO WARRANTIES, EXPLICIT, IMPLIED, STATUTORY OR IN ANY COMMUNICATION WITH YOU, AND CAB SPECIFICALLY DISCLAIMS ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. CAB DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE OPERATION OF THE PROGRAM WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR FREE.

Some states do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties so the above exclusions may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may also have other rights which vary from state to state.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY - IN NO EVENT WILL CAB BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, WHILE LOADING THESE 3-D MODELS OR OTHERWISE, LOST PROFITS, COST OF COVER OR OTHER SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR INDIRECT DAMAGES ARISING FROM THE USE OF THE 3-D MODELS OR CORRESPONDING DOCUMENTATION, HOWEVER CAUSED AND ON ANY THEORY OF LIABILITY. THIS LIMITATION WILL APPLY EVEN IF CAB HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGE.

Some states do not allow the limitation or exclusion of liability for incidental, or consequential damages, so the above limitation may not apply to you.

If this agreement is translated into any other language than German, the German version remains the authoritative version.

If any of the afore mentioned provisions should be or become ineffective, this does not affect the validity of the remaining provisions. The ineffective or invalid provision shall be replaced by the corresponding statutory ruling, unless the parties reach legally effective agreement on another solution. The same also applies to any loopholes in the contract.
